Goodbye Beloved Grandma!

My grandma (mum's side) has just passed away on 7th Dec 2008. Died of heart attack. :(

We were never close, due to we seldom go back to visit her since young due to distance and my dad was away to outstation for work all year long. We only visited her once a year or 2 years. But we knew that she loved us very much.

Whenever we gave her pocket money whenever we met for the past few years, she will try to give us back all money as ang pao. I was just planning how to give her money this coming Chinese New Year without giving her any chance to give me back the money. But who knows.....

I thought I wouldn't cry after got to know about the bad news, but when I think of how much she loves us, and how caring she was always been to us, my tears just ran down my cheeks......

Too Busy To Blog.

Life has been so busy lately. It's been quite a while since I update my blog here.

Busy of work: My boss just got a huge but super fast tracks project lately. Need to handover by the end the year. Everyone involve in the project are so stress, especially my Service Manager and me, who particularly involve in a lot of documentation and coordination.
Besides that project, I still need to do my job for the service team, as I'm the only administrator in the team. I need to take care of other projects' documentation as well. Life is really not easy. Earning money is definitely harder. :(

Furthermore, my sister was admitted to hospital due to typhoid fever caused by contaminated food or water. Poor her. It's been a week already she's in there. Luckily the bf just graduated and can take care of her full time in the hospital now. Hopefully the doctor give her the right antibiotic today to cure her sickness. Wish she can discharge by tomorrow or latest by the day after.
She had no appetite to eat anything. Whatever she ate, she vomited all food out after an hour after eating. So I woke up early on Saturday morning and went to market to buy the stuff to cook abc soup for her, with a lot of potatoes, carrots, and tomatoes. At least she can drink the soup, and absorb more natural vitamins from the food. She was able to finish 2 bowls at least. At least she didn't vomit until now. That's a good thing at least she got food intake.

Went for blood donation on Sunday in Summit shopping mall in USJ. That is the 3rd time I donated blood, with 13.9 hemoglobin, which is very good for a lady. I always have very high hemoglobin. I still remember the doctor asked me to go donate blood after my body checkup/blood test result came out 3 years back. What a result!

Phew!! I feel so sleepy now. Think will sleep early today. Probably around 11.30pm. I know it's still quite late for a lot of people. But for people who used to sleep at 1am, 11.30pm is really early.

Hope it won't take me another 2 months to update my blog again.

Wedding Dinners.

I went to 2 wedding dinners these 2 months. Both brides were wearing cheongsam in their wedding dinners.

Maybe it's a trend to wear cheongsam in the Chinese wedding dinner nowadays. It's much easier for the brides to walk around compared to wear the long and heavy gowns. But I just think that it's not outstanding enough. You can't really recognize that she's the bride if you never see her or watch her wedding video or photos on the screen in the restaurants. I still prefer the normal dinner gown better than cheongsam.

Perhaps it's to early to talk about my own wedding gowns. But I don't mind to have a little bit of plans for my own wedding attires. I hardly see brides take initiative to drink liquor with their guests in their wedding dinner. As a result, some of them were forced to drink, and got drunk. I think I should the the bride who will walk around my guests' tables to toss with my guests, Psychologically, I think that might scare a little bit off them. :p So, in order to do that, I think I'll choose a gown which is outstanding enough on me, but easy for me to walk around.

Talk about wedding gown, Reminds me of my ex's bf's sister's wedding in a Chinese restaurant few years back, with 2 different couples' dinner in it at the same time. I was wearing a simple long black gown, which my ex bought for me and wanted me to wear that night, and end up a lot of people thought that I was one of the bride instead of the other one who was having the dinner since I was sitting in front of the restaurant helping out as a reception. That was really embarrassed.......

Mid Autumn Festival Celebration.

I didn't celebrate Mid Autumn Festival of Chinese with all my siblings since I came out KL for study and then work. This year, all of us arrange to meet to celebrate this 'reunion' festival at hometown.

We arranged the candles in Chinese words "Moon", and "Mid Autumn". All of us including my mum helped to arrange and lit the candles at the same time. My brother in charge of photo shooting while we were busy arranging the candles.

After playing with candles, we sat down and had our moon cakes, fruit, tea, and chit chatting. Too bad my dad left to Dubai 2 days earlier. Or else we could have celebrated it together. We miss you daddy......

We really had a nice gathering this year. Hope we can make it every year like this.

National Day Eve Party.

There are a lot of farewell parties recently. My own colleagues, and Edward's colleagues as well.
In August itself, there are 3 of them.

Early August, we had a BBQ farewell party for J. Perhaps it's just an excuse for everyone to have BBQ since we all didn't have it for so long already. We basically finish 85% of the food, and finished all the liquor.

Yummy mutton
Juicy & yummy mutton

The 18 years Old Chivas Regal. We thought we couldn't finish it, but end up not enough for the night.

Another one we decided to make it for steamboat buffet at Sunway. Easier, and eat all you can. Simple enough, while can satisfy everyone's appetite. After that, everyone wanted to come to my house for drinking session. I bought beer and coke, Andy brought wine, J brought JD. Not everyone could drink much that night actually. So we didn't manage to finish the liquor this time. But we had really good and fun time. We played a little game to make everyone drink. We laughed so loud, and non stop, until everyone's jaws cramp and tears came out. After the game(actually the game stopped because 2 guys couldn't drink anymore), we had chit-chatting session. It's really been a while since I had such a good time with friends after the vacation with my girl friends 2 years ago I think.
We said goodbye at almost 5.30am. So end up...I slept till 2pm, and had a little hangover from the liquor. :P

Asian cup size downgraded again?

I went to shop for bras last weekend in Robinson, just to use the voucher that I got from the land banking briefing. The bra cup sizes of Asian downgraded again since it did once few years ago.

I was wearing B or C depends on the brand and cutting previously, and now, I need to go for D already for most of the famous brand like Wacoal and Triumph.

But why? Is it Asian girls' cup size are getting smaller from generation to generation? Sigh.........

Foot Reflexology

While waiting for another couple of friends for dinner, I went to the 60min foot reflexology in Puchong. There are so many foot reflexology opened in Bandar Puteri Puchong now.

The one I went yesterday was like a cinema. They provide large projector screen for the customers to watch some movies while doing the foot reflexology. The air cond was cold enough. If not because of the pain while the male foot masseur from China pressing my legs and feet, I think I could sleep soundly inside there.

The masseur told me that I have sleeping problem. My intestine is not that good, so as my waist. It's all based on the 'xue dao' (in mandarin) on my feet. It was so painful when they pressed on certain 'xue dao'. This was not the 1st time I did foot reflexology, but it was the most painful one. Phew!!

Land Banking

People nowadays is trying to diversify their investment. So here's the born of land banking(that's what the agent called). Basically land banking is just buying a land and wait for its price increment, and sell it off. Just like commodities, but land investment is longer term of investment.

I went to this briefing by this Singapore based company yesterday. The call and sms said that there is no obligation. Since I've never heard of it before this, so decided to went to have a look.

The land they are selling at the moment is in Titchfield, UK. The company bought one large piece of land and then divided into small parcels(each parcels=100 sq.m) and sell it to public. They are selling at about RM75K per parcel. The return based on their conservative calculation is 9% of profit (that's what they said). Even after the forex conversion, the land is not that expensive actually. Just that I don't have so much cash to invest yet. :P
To be frank, how many people dare to pay "cash" to buy a piece of land where it's so far away just like that?

As usual, the agent knew that she can't convince me anymore, so she just asked me to do some research, and get back to them if I change my mind after that.

They are kind enough to give me a bottle of Mark & Spencer's hand wash, and RM100 Robinson's shopping voucher.

New Favourite Japanese Restaurant

I love Japanese food. Used to go to Momo in Center Point Bandar Utama for their Japanese buffet. But due to their good publicity or advertisemnet, Momo's buffet dinner is always fully booked. Since it's not near from Puchong, so me and Edward switched to Sakae for the normal Sushi and ala carte recently.

Last month, a customer sent me a promotion leaflet via email about Agefuku Japanese restaurant in USJ Taipan. They claim themselves as the 1st Japanese fast food restaurant in Malaysia. Anyway, I'm more interested for their buffet since it's only RM46 per pax. I called in to check the availability, and reservation requested to dine for their buffet.

The ambiance is surprisingly nice and comfortable. Although the place is not that big. The food is good. The service is good as well. They have this cute waiter (I think should the the boss's son) who in charge of the fruit counter, is so polite and understanding. He was cutting the watermelon when I took my desert and fruit. Then when I sat on my place, I saw him putting the watermelon on the plates so nicely. After I finished my fruit, I went to him to ask him whether I can have the banana split but without the banana. "Sure. Do you want me to add the watermelon for you?" is the answer I got. He made the ice cream for me with chocolate chips, chocolate topping and the watermelon on the chocolate ice cream that I wanted. So nice of him.

Fish Cooking No.2.

Last Saturday, my 1st weekend of 5days job, I bought the Dory fish fillet and made grilled fish. The marinated the fillet with oyster sauce, soya sauce, sesame oil, and a little bit the chicken seasoning. It's much easier, and much tastier this time compared to the whole fish which I steamed the week before. When the fish almost cooked, I added a little bit of white wine on it. Trust me, it's yummy. Slurppp.......:p
I added the crab stick and corn as side dish/decoration. The grilled fish is not 'dark' enough because I tried to make it as "fresh" as possible. Maybe the presentation is not impressive, but my another half finished the whole plate within 5 minutes. :)

Grill Fish

Fish Cooking.

My mum caught me a fish from hometown. I don't know what it call in English, but Chinese call it 'sang yu'. This is not the 1st time I cook the fish, but this one, maybe it's too dark in color, and too slippery, made me feel so eerie when I washed it. I couldn't help but keep imagining what if the fish go alive again (or I should call reincarnation because it's dead. :p). I knew it's impossible, but the feeling of the slippery really made me felt that way.

I steamed the fish, but forgot to take the pic of it. It's not so nice to see anyway because I cut it half so that easier to be put inside the wok to steam. Or else it will be too long. The taste.....edible of course, but really so so only. I'm just not good in cooking the whole fish.

5-days Work.

My company decided to change from 5.5days work to 5-days work starting from 1st July 2008. It's not a big deal to a lot of people because they are enjoying the 5-days work since day 1, and do not know how precious is the Saturday off.

So, I'm having my 1st ever 5-days job start from today. YAY!! :P

I've roughly calculated, by having Saturday off, I can save at least RM500 for my petrol and toll in a year, that is without anymore petrol price increase. Don't say I'm too calculative. RM500 is enough for my meals for 1 month. If there is anyone said it's just too little, please give RM500 to me since you think it's not much to you, but a lot to me. :P

Birthday.

It was my birthday last Sunday. A lot of people asked me how did I celebrate it.
For me, birthday is just another normal day for me. I didn't really celebrate it since my 21st birthday. These few years, the only 'celebration' I had was just the dinner at a restaurant like TGI Fridays, or some Japanese Restaurants. So basically no cake, and no wish also. I give up making wish, as it didn't really come true before.
OK OK. Maybe I did wish sometimes, for everything goes smoothly, and everyone is healthy and happy. Not too much right? At least I didn't wish to strike lottery. :P

Niuzexui PJ.

I just knew that there is this place in PJ which has the same Chinese name with a road in Singapore. The Singapore's is called "NiuCheSui" in Mandarin, but the PJ one spelled as "Niuzexui", which sound weird for me. Anyway the writing in Chinese should be the same 3 words.

I went there last week during the long weekend of Wesak Day. There happen to have a reptiles amphibians exhibition. RM5 per person. Since it's not expensive, we thought of no harm just went in for a look, for our own knowledge.

I didn't bring along my camera. So could only took pictures using my low-end mobile phone. :(

After the exhibition, we walked around to view the stalls, had 1.5cups of "Yau-yau bing" (shaked ice originated from Taiwan), and half a bowl of fruitti ice each of us.

Van sales of food in Puchong.

There is this road right opposite of IOI Mall in Puchong where a few van sales of food and drink line up for business. There are normal steamboat(Chinese called "luk luk"), Then desert/drink/herbal tea, then another steamboat cum deep fried(which I believe it's still new for a lot of people), then drink again (selling pearl tea), then another stall which I didn't pay attention on what they are selling. It's actually getting more and more van sales on that road after the election.

The one which is selling the deep fried 'luk luk' is the most popular one among all vans since it's pretty new. A lot of people tried their deep fried cockles and deep fried small fish. It's worth a try if you never eat that before. Anyway, I still prefer the steamboat kind of cockles because the taste is more 'original'. :P

One thing bad about that busy road nowadays is there are some nuisance idiots double park their cars on that small road and block the whole road like their grandmother's. They never think of the result that they might cause. Don't they know that once they start blocking the road, people will start complaining, and the authority then will take action not to allow the vans to sell food there, which is not only affect the income of the van sales, but also will cause the rest of the people not able to eat those yummy food anymore over there. Hopefully everyone can really considerate for others.

Steamboat Buffet.

I seldom eat buffet nowadays because I can be very 'uncontrollable' in eating. It can increase the pounds I worked so hard to reduce in just one meal. :p
Actually, I can't eat that much nowadays. Maybe I'm too old to eat too much. It's a good thing I hope.

Went to Steamboat buffet at Sunway yesterday for dinner with EF and Bern for the 1st time. We had soya drink and porridge as the 'soup base' for the steamboat. I tried porridge before, but soya for the 1st time. The shop is small, a bit too small because there is not much space for your to turn when you are taking the food. The lady boss is pretty, and friendly too. We reached there quite early, so able to chat for a while before more more and more customers came. Oh!It was drizzling when we reached there, so there was a worker from the restaurant took an umbrella and came to welcome us. :P

Their sambal was not bad. RM20.90 for a buffet steamboat inclusive of drink is quite worth it since their seafood were fresh.

Medical Report.

My life has been so bored, bored until I went for a pre-marital blood test in Pathlab last Saturday, went for a hepatitis B immune booster jab, and teeth checkup and cleaning.

I have just collected the report this morning.

Everything seems to normal in the report, err..ok ok, except for my cholesterol, which the total cholesterol is at the border (5.2) and the LDL cholesterol(bad cholesterol) is too much (3.3, which normal should be less than 2.6). Anyway it's actually reduced by 10% compared to 2 years ago. My Uric acid has reduced from higher level to normal level now. Maybe because of the food I took for the past 2 years (mostly mum cook food for lunch and dinner), and I exercised for the one whole year every week.

My haemoglobin is back to normal level. 2 years ago when I did the medical checkup, my haemoglobin level was tested too much, and the doctor advised me to donate my blood. I, as a very good girl as usual(hehe...), went for the blood donation one week after that. :P That's my very 1st time of blood donation in my life.

The report stated that I don't have any Thalassemia, Rubella immune is OK, advisable to take one booster dose for Hepatitis B immune, which I went for a jab immediately right after I took the report. Now only I know that having jab is more painful than blood taking. :(

Then I went for teeth checkup and cleaning at 4pm. The dentist advise me to take off my wisdom teeth, which do not give me any effect to me so far, before the wisdom teeth caused my teeth next to it spoil because of them. I'm still considering because it's a minor surgery. I might not be able to eat proper food for 1 week after the surgery, like what EF had experienced it last year. Scary.........

Overslept.

I had menstrual pain these 2 days, and last night was extremely bad till I couldn't sleep at all and twisted here and there on the bed till almost 5am and caused this morning overslept for work. Woke up at 8.25am, didn't even really comb my hair (that's the beauty of having curly hair. :P) and left house at about 8.45am. Reached office at 9.05am after buying mee for breakfast nearby office. Still, I am actually the 4th person who reached office.

I was never late to work before, except for once when I car pulled with my colleague before I got my car, and his tyre punctured. This morning...didn't really considered late also. :P

Weekend = Housework.

I spent my this weekend doing housework only most of the time since my mum went back to hometown. I didn't really do any housework since she came and stayed with me about a year ago.

On Saturday after half day work and lunch outside, came back, rest for a while, then washed clothes using hands because the material of the clothes cannot use the washing machine. My palms were red after squeezing the clothes dry. Alright I admit my palms are marshmallows. Then I swept and mopped the floor. By the time I finish, it's about 6pm already. Luckily had dinner outside with a few friends, and I need not to cook. :p

Sunday, woke up at 10am, prepared everything to boil ABC soup. Then prepare spaghetti for lunch, and then washed clothes (both hand and machine wash). I guess some people must be wondering why do I have so many clothes to be washed. My bf changed 2 to 3 sets of clothes everyday. When he has badminton session, he will change another 3 shirts. So..that's why. Then went for steamboat and grill buffet with friends last night which caused our whole body so smelly, and we changed another set of clothes again.

After the clothes washing and hanging was about 2pm, rest for a while, peel pears and apples skin for both of us while watching TV, another half an hour gone. Luckily he helped out by ironing his own pants and shirts.

It's 4.30pm now, and another half an hour more I need to prepare the dinner again.

Doing housework is definitely more tiring than working full time in the office everyday. Since I quit the gym and always rain in the evening nowadays and I can't go swim, I just treat that's the only exercise for me. Or else I will really feel grumpy doing all the housework. :P

If there is anyone said being a housewife is easy, ask them to do it everyday like what a normal housewife do, then only they will know how 'easy' it can be.

I miss my mum so much!! :P

Facebook Account Reactivated.

As my post earlier, my Facebook account has been disabled for sending out too many messages which the administrator thought it might be spam. I sent them an email about it's kinda stupid for them to set the limitation in sending messages because facebook is meant for connecting people, and message seems to be the most effective way. I told them if they don't reactivate for me, I'm going to quit facebook.

After their consideration and browsing through my profile, they emailed me and told me they decided to reactivated my account for me, but I still need to keep an eye on my usage of applications. :P

I need to give a thumb up for facebook administrator. They actually read their emails and take action. At first I thought my email could have been just read (or probably not) and deleted. But what surprise me was their response was really fast enough.

So I'm back to Facebooking. Yipeee!!!

So sorry to Aik-Harm who sold me away after knowing that my account has been disabled and made him lost 400k points in Human Pets.

Stupid Facebook!

My Facebook account has just been disabled for using an application 'abusively' (sent too many messages). I thought facebook are initially meant for people to keep in touch, and messages seems to be the best way to do that, but then why on earth they want to set the limit of sending messages?

I have put so much effort in Human Pets, Friends For Sale, Owned, and Hotties For Sale. And now, it's all gone. Sob sob.....I really feel like crying when I got the message "Your account has been disabled". What the heck!! Arrggggggg!!

I sent an email to disabled@facebbok.com and told them how I feel, but I doubt they will entertain me. Think I will just give up using Facebook from now on. I don't think I will create an account again, because I AM SO FED UP NOW!!

So sorry for my owners who wasted their points to buy me in Human Pets, Friends For Sale, Owned, and Hotties For Sale, and end up they own no one. :(

Luckily my pets and owners have my MSN address and they can still contact me using MSN or emails.

For those who wants update of my life, you can always read my blog here. Since I won't waste time in Facebook anymore, I will have more time to update my blog from now on. Sigh....

Fortune Cookies - 3rd message.

Since Adonis asked me to pick another fortune cookies, so I did. I took the last one left in fact.

This time, the message I got is just normal. Nothing too great about it, but I'm still happy. :)

Bye Bye Daddy ver.2

My dad has finally flew to Dubai last night by 12.30am Emirates flight.

Me, my sis, both our bf, and my mum sent him to KLIA. I accompany my dad to check in at the counter. After that we went to a cafe for drink, while waiting for the flight. As expensive as usual in the airport, 4 small cups of tea cost us around RM32. We stayed at the cafe for about half an hour only, then we walked around the airport since my mum never been there before.

At about 11.30pm, my dad need to go inside the departure gate. We waved goodbye. I actually wanted to hug him before he left, but...never done that before since I grew up. So I didn't do that too last night. :(

He reached Dubai airport at around 12pm Malaysia time today (Dubai was around 8am), after waited for 2 hours on the plane for diversion of airport (I wonder what and why is that. :P). He called me when he was on his way to the hotel where he's going to stay for a month to let me know he reached safely.Phew! At least we know he reached safely finally (because I've checked the flight status at about 8.15am, but the flight still not arrived yet).

Then later in the afternoon, he sms me and let me know that his company project over there is big, and he has a lot of friends there (His colleagues actually flew there a few months ago). Hopefully his friends can keep an eye on him. I'm so worry of his health, especially diabetic. Sigh...

Bye Bye Daddy.

My dad received an offer to be transfered to Dubai to take over the project management/ supervision for the very 1st job of his company over there for half a year. It's a interchange project in Dubai.

Eventhough we are didn't see my dad often since we were very small, but all the while he was in Malaysia for work. We knew that he's not really that far from us eventhough we don't meet up. But this time, he need to go so far away. I was the 1st one in the family who knew about this. At that time, I first feel happy for him because it's an opportunity for him to go oversea, to work there and to earn more. But then, just half an hour later after the talk, I felt so useless because I can't afford to ask my dad not to take up the job at such a hot country, although the pay is good. I'm not that worry if it's 10 years ago because he was fit and still young. But now he has diabetes, and he's getting old. :(

His flight is confirmed on 4th March midnight. His stupid bosses still need him to travel up and down to hand down the left over work to other people for 2 projects. He is like so indispensable in the company. Really don't know it's a good or bad thing. Sigh.........

Fortune Cookies

CT brought one big box of fortune cookies from the hamper she got from her house to office because she doesn't want her daughters to eat too much cookies. No one in my office seems to know that there is a message inside the cookies until I told them. So everyone in the office took one and read their own message. I told CT that the cookies that she brought to the office made everyone so happy because everyone got a good message (in fact impossible the message will be a bad one . :p)

The message I got from the fortune cookies is : You and your love one will be happy in life together.

The next day, no one else want to eat the cookies anymore, and there are still around 10pcs of them. I decided to take another one.

The 2nd message I got this time is : You will be successful in your work.

My colleague asked me immediately what message I got since the 1st one I got was the most 'direct to the point' one among all. So I read my message to her and told her that I got love and career at the same time. :P

That's what i really hope for (besides health of all the people I love and myself of course).
Wish the messages I got will really come true. :)

Chinese New Year Gathering.

I had a Chinese New Year Gathering with my ex-apartment mate during college time on the 10th day of Chinese New Year. Eventhough we have stayed together for about half a year to one year under Taylor's College accommodation in My Place Apartment, we became very good friends. We gathered as we make it 'special' at least once a year on our Apartment Day. oops!! Where was I? Ok Ok. I'm suppose to talk about the Chinese New Year gathering.

This is our 13th Chinese New Year since we all 1st met. Wow!! 13th year! Now only I notice that!! We are going to celebrate our 12th year anniversary this year!!

There were 4 of us gather together with each other's partner this year. We had dinner at Oversea Restaurant at Jaya 1 in PJ, ordered a Chinese New Year set cost RM768++. So end up we pay Rm225 per couple. It's an expensive dinner, with the 'so-so' only food. But all of us enjoyed the dinner.

Li suddenly reminded us on what we said about how horrible if we still remain the single by the age of 35 or 40 a few years ago. At least now all of us have our partner, eventhough there is only one out of 6 of us among the closest apartment mates just got married last year. Hmm..but when I think back, all 4 of us didn't really being 'single' for long. :P

After the dinner, the boys had a while of gambling session in the restaurant since the waiter offered us a new set of cards, and we girls like became the 'PR' for them. We happened to be the last table we left the restaurant. :P

On my way back home, I sms the girls and told them I had a very great night and wish all of us all the best in the coming years. Ay replied and said maybe in a couple of years later we might have kids-tow to the dinner, and she happened to be the one who was 'afraid' of kids. Trust me. She was really "afraid" of all kids. Afraid to hug them, to carry them, or to get close to them. But in recent years, I think she has really changed a lot. At least she can carry a baby now. Keep it up Ay!! We are waiting for your wedding by end of this year. :)

RM54k Marriage Proposal.

I believe most of the people who picked up The Star or The Sun newspaper would know about an Account Exec's marriage proposal to his girlfriend using a billboard on LDP highway. For those who haven't read it, you can get the full story here .

I suppose many guys would feel angry because they might think that the guy spoilt the market and they need to crack their head to top that with their girls. :P

A RM54K proposal! Wow! RM40k on the billboard and only RM14k on the ring? I don't know how the girl thinks, or how other people think, but for myself personally, I rather my man spend the RM40k on something more worthy, like.....a house's down payment? :P

If not because of the guy's dad owns the billboard business, do you think an advertising account exec can afford the RM40k on the billboard only? Eventhough he can afford, I doubt he will spend that amount of money on that.

After such 'advertisement', I suppose the press would like to cover more on their wedding planning, their wedding, and even their marriage. It reminds me of a lot of Hollywood couples' or Hong Kong couples' marriage breakdown because of paparazzi and 'publicity'. Of course, I don't wish that to happen on this lovely young couple.

Perhaps I'm too 'realistic', or should I call it 'practical'? I prefer my proposal should be simple, sweet, and have a personal touch. I don't need to share it with the whole wide world.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not desperate for any proposal now. I'm kind of enjoying my 'single' life now actually. Marriage means I need to have kid, which will be really a 'string attachment' to me. A lot of people have been asking me when I will get married. The same answer I gave to everyone: I have no proposal from anyone yet. Perhaps I will just marry to the one who propose to me next. :P

Chinese New Year.

This is my 2nd year not celebrating Chinese New Year with my own family. Last year, I stayed in KL with bf. This year, I followed him to go back to his house for the 1st time since my new house in hometown is not ready yet, and my parents are staying with me in KL temporary.

Basically we did nothing much, just eat, sleep, watch tv. and went to his cousin's house on the 3rd day. I gained 1.5kg from that few days holiday. I really ate too much of oily stuff, until I'm having upset stomach now. :(

Ohh! About the traffic, It was smooth when we went back Johor, Maybe because it was in the midnight. But when we came back to KL, it was jam in Melaka, and then Pedas-Linggi till almost Nilai. I don't know what caused the jam, and the traffic cleared just like that suddenly near the Nilai Exit. We met a minor accident near Senawang exit. A motorcycle hit our front car tyre and scratched the front bumper a bit when we tried to cut out to the middle lane from left lane. The rider actually sort of flew out in the middle of the road, but luckily the car at the back was very slow, and touch wood, he was OK. He agreed to settle the case with RM150. I wrote a simple note written he agreed to settle and without severe injure in the accident. I even got a 3rd party Malay guy to sign as a witness. After that, only we found out that our car tyre and steering actually run out of the place a bit. Now, it's in the Perodua service center for checking. It might cause a few thousands to repair if really serious.

What a New Year...............

1st hair perming.

I went to perm my hair on Saturday. The whole process of straighten at the front part, perm the back/bottom part of the hair, red color highlight and treatment took about 5 hours. I sat until my butt numbed.

This is my first time to perm my hair curl in my life. I was having straight hair all the while. Thought of changing my image, to become more 'sexy'. Err....I mean the sexy type of curl. I told my hair stylist I just want to perm the lower part of the hair. She did, but made me looked like those Japanese girl in the magazine who is having curly hair. The result is just not the type I wanted. Sob sob.....Hopefully my colleagues and other friends don't give me bad comments about my new hair style. I am actually a bit regret now. :(

Photobucket
My current hair style look like this. :(

Next, I might just cut my hair short till ear-length. Hmm...I'm getting more 'adventurous' when I'm older. :P

Police check.

Went out for mamak session with ER, Ly and Ed last night. ER was driving a original extremely decent new Proton Saga belongs to his company(without any modification, not even alarm or central locking) to fetch us. On our way back, a police patrol car was in front of us, driving very slow, and then they stopped behind a van by the road side. So our car overtook the patrol car slowly.

After we drove about 200m away, the police patrol car put the signal behind us to ask us to stop. The policemen requested everyone's IC. So we have to get down from the car, and handed them our IC. It was really embarrass because all the cars passed by looked at us to see what's wrong. I was never being checked by the police like last night before, without doing anything wrong, or against any traffic rules. They end up just copied the detail of Ly and my detail but not the guys, and we are not sure why.

The very 1st time I got stopped by the police was in last year on my way to work near Putra Height. The policeman stopped me for talking on my mobile phone, while my phone was actually inside my bag under the passenger seat. After I showed the policeman impossible that I could listen to my phone and hide it inside my bag under the seat, he had to let me go.

This reminds me of the security check when I went to Genting casino at my 25 or 26 years old with a bunch of friends of 4. The security guards stopped me and asked for my IC. I was so embarrass because so many people looked at me one kind. Did I looked under age, or looked like those came from China(*wink* :P) to them? I told my friends: They really need to go check their eyes. End up: I was being teased for about 2 years because of that. Sigh......

Headphone with Mic.

Yay! I finally installed the headphone with mic on MSN. Thanks to my Adonis's guidance. So I can do the talking online now finally. I did the 1st run last night with Adonis but it was so weird because I was the only one who did the talking and he did the typing due to he doesn't have a mic. Trust me, it's really weird. I was like a moron talking alone. Hehe....
So those who have a mic too can msg me and let me hear someone's voice when I'm using the headphone and mic. :P

Being hit in the sleep.

My mum told me that when I was a baby, I slept on the same bed with her and my dad. My mum slept in the middle of me and dad. When she woke up and made me some milk, my dad just grabbed the pillow which I slept on(in his sleep), and almost twist my neck and caused me fell down from the bed.

Now, I've grown up. But I'm still being bullied in my sleep by my beloved one. He always got the dreams about fighting. The first time was when we just started to live together. He almost hit me on my face, but I still can't figure out why I could react so fast and block his punch.

Then the 2nd time was middle of last year. Same situation, he dreamed about fighting with someone again and punched on my left cheek. I cried immediately once he hit me, and he was so guilty after that, until he dare not to sleep so close to me.

Then the 3rd time was this morning. OK. This time is new. He kicked my legs, and he himself knew that he kicked really hard. I cried again. Of course I cried. Just imagine, not only the pain, but the shock I got too. BUt sinc ehe didn't mean to hurt me, I can't even take revenge. :(

Why I always being tortured in my sleep. Sob sob........

Facebook - Tradings of Friends.

OK! I admit that I'm addicted to Facebook. I spend at least 3 full hours on facebook daily. I believe a lot of people adapt the same habit like I do nowadays. Or else I won't be receiving messages all day long. :P

Friends For Sale and Human Pets are the applications that I'm most active in at the moment. I like to trade. So, I find the most fun in these 2 applications, where you can actually buy and sell your friends, and enjoy the fun for being competitive to buy your favourite pets, and to train your patience to earn the points as well. You get to know a lot of funny people in Human Pets. Some of them are generous, some are weird, some are jerks.

Anyway, I think I might be spending too much time in Facebook. Think I should cut down the surfing time(hopefully).

Quit smoking.

Long before I went Bali, I told everyone who asked me when am I going to quit smoking that I will quit after I came back from Bali. Today, is the 8th day I didn't smoke a puff of cigarette. More than 192 hours I didn't smoke. It didn't happened for the whole year of 2007.

Now I only understand why those people who try to quit smoking saying that is hard. Although I'm not really addicted and do not have the withdrawal symptom, But the habit of the mouth and hand movement, the desire of having the cigarette is so strong. My colleague who is smoking as well keep saying that my self control is really good. So, by hook or by crook, I cannot smoke again. Not before I get married and have kids at least. :P

Slippers.

I bought a pair of slippers about a year ago in The Curve, where the shop is already closed down by now. I got it for RM49 per pair , but one pair get one pair free. I still have the free pair of sandles with me, but i don't quite like it as it's not so comfortable to wear.

This is the most expensive slippers I ever bought I think. Normally, my slippers cost me normally about RM20 to RM30 per pair. This one, I just bought it because of the buy 1 free 1 promotion. OK OK. I know I'm kind of stingy sometimes. People please don't comment about this anymore. Hehe...

I wore this slippers to Phuket, to Langkawi, to Melaka, to JB, to Singapore and almost wherever I go during non working days. Yup. Almost everywhere. I didn't bring any other shoes when I went to Phuket and Langkawi. So this slippers of mine actually went "oversea" before. :P

But.....my favourite slippers is going to spoil very soon I guess. I'm very picky in buying shoes and clothes. Don't know when I will see and get to buy my new pair of slippers again. sob sob......

Bali Trip 2007.

We had a company trip to Bali for 4 days 3 nights from 29th December 2007 till 1st Jan 2008. This is the 1st time I didn't spend my New Year in Malaysia.

Day 1:
It was about 2pm after we checked out from the airport. Once came out to meet the local tour guide there, we were given white flowers leis (Orchid maybe. Not so sure what's the name of the flower.) when we just walked out by 2 local girls. After that, the 1st thing we did was to take lunch in a Chinese restaurant. The food there is so so only. Actually the whole trip we didn't really had nice food. Maybe we are just not used to their taste.

After lunch, we headed to the Inna Grand Bali Resort(the so-called 5 star hotel, which I think it was maybe a 5 star when it was 30 years back) to check in. I got the last room at the last corner of the hotel, which is I believe the largest, and with nicest view cos it's the nearest to the swimming pool and the beach. It actually took me 5 min to walk from the hotel lobby to my room.

Photobucket

1 hour later, we gathered at the hotel lobby and went to the Bounty Cruise for dinner.

Photobucket
Yellow Bounty Cruise

The food there, again, was not nice at all for we Malaysia. The cruise dinner is buffet style, and not much choices. Trust me, really 'not much'. They had some dances in the cruise while the guests were eating. The queue to get the food was so long. I felt stuffy inside the cruise. Actually almost more than half of us got seasick because the cruise is not that big. I decided to go outside to take some fresh air before I join the long queue to get my food. Didn't expect to see there were actually food available too on the 2nd level. After the dinner those who came out to take fresh air didn't intent to get back to the lowest level to see the entertainment anymore.
After got down from the cruise, we headed to Kuta area, the busiest place in Bali) to have a look. We walked along the street, and saw one shop actually using real people to post like a window display model. They looked so real, I mean real window display model, except for their eyes are blinking. A man poked the model's arm to check whether she's real or fake and then the model suddenly walked down to change with another model and frightened the man. Haha...

Photobucket

About 11pm and went back hotel to rest.

Day 2:
We had breakfast at 7.30am in the hotel. The only food I like is the sausages.
We gathered at 8.30am to head to the turtle island in a glass bottom boat. The glass bottom are actually for the tourist to see the coral below the boat, but we didn't see any corals due to the water was too dirty. After that we went up to this turtle island to see the green turtle. The turtle is small. Besides turtle, they have fruit bats, eagle, and a snake for the tourist to take picture with those animals while holding them. Finally I gotta to touch a snake and the eagle. The eagle was OK, but the snake's scales made me feel so weird.

Photobucket
A tourist who posed excitedly with the bat in his hand.

After the animals session, we went back to the beach where we store our stuff. Some from our groups played the flying fish(it's not available in Malaysia yet I guess). Some played banana boat and jet ski. I'm not interested in those because I've tried it. Not interested in the flying fish was because basically the fish alike floating balloon blocked the whole view and wind. Then there were these 2 old ladies came to sell their massage package. It's only around RM16 for 30 min for whole body massage by the beach. I just lied down on the bench and there were actually 4 person did the massage for me at the same time (maybe they didn't have other customers at that time). All my colleagues were teasing I was like a queen being served by 4 person at the same time. :P
After that. We went for lunch inside the 1st duty free shopping mall in Bali. The quality of the food still about the same. After lunch we took about 15 min to looked around in the duty free departmental store. Didn't buy anything there. Then we got up to the bus and headed to Tanah Lot to see the most famous temple in Bali.

Photobucket
See how grand is the temple. It was actually built by the seaside where people can only go to the temple by boat during uptide.

Then we went to shopping at the art market there. I bought most of my souvenirs here. I got almost the same thing as my 2 or 3 other colleagues, but with at least 10% cheaper than they paid. They said I was so good in bargaining. Actually i didn't say much. I just open a price which I think it's reasonable, and the sellers are either take it or leave it. I find no point barganing there since there were so many stalls there.

We went to Jimbaran Bay for seafood BBQ dinner. I only like the clams, and their sambal. The rest...not my favourite. We went back to hotel quite early that night. Who knows, the stupid room I was staying had power failure for one hour. One hour of power failure in a 5 start hotel, and it's only my room. Can you believe it!! It's the worst hotel I ever stay.

A few of us came out to the lounge to have a few drinks till 1am only headed back to our rooms to sleep.

Day 3:
We went to the wood craving and art center in the morning after breakfast. Bought a few things there, and took some pictures of funny wood art.

Photobucket

I think Bali people are actually quite open minded, as I could see a lot of 'penises' all around Bali. Of course not the real one, but they made it in key chain, and decoration items. I saw a few old ladies going topless too in front of their houses. Perhaps they are just 'pure', like Adam's & Eve's world.

After that we went to Ubud market for shopping. Bought a few things here too. Then I went the the famous Babi Guling place where they sell the most famous 'fried pork' in Bali. The tour guide
helped us to buy a few boxes to try.

Photobucket
The signboard of the famous suckling pork in Bali.

After Ubud we went to to Kintamani to see the still active volcano. That was the only place I felt comfortable because of it's cooling air, like Genting Highland. The whole Bali was so hot and humid. The local tour guide said we were so lucky because it didn't rain throughout that 4 days because the rain was non stop pouring for a week before we reached there. The local tour guide told us not to touch or ask about the price of what the people there selling if we are not interested to buy. Or else they will bug you till you buy. I read this from the internet too. So I didn't even give the eye contact, walked straight, and just ignored what those sellers offered. A few of my colleagues got trapped(surrounded) by the sellers.

Photobucket
Still-active Volcano.

My throat started to feel sore as I didn't drink enough water because not convenient to find a wash room. :(

Then we went to Guwang market(another art market where more local people there) while 3 from our group went for the spa session. Bought 2 dresses for my sisters there. Then we went back to the hotel to perpare for the New Year's Eve Gala dinner in the hotel ballroom.

The ambiance was nice in the hotel ball room, but the food really..no comment. The nicest dish for the whole dinner (like the formal western dinner kind of event) was the small tiny glass of lemon ice. Most of us just eat in order to fill our stomach only. The food there really pretty sad.
Right after the count down, we went back to the hotel room to rest. I didn't sleep well that night because my sore throat is getting worse.

Photobucket
Tiny glass of lemon ice.

Day 4:
We had tele-match. Splited into 3 teams. Played beach volleyball, tug-of-war, 3-legged-walk, and beach futsal.
1st game was volleyball. All of us didn't really know how to play. So we mostly got the points from those who can serve the ball well. My team got no2 in this.
2nd game which I got my left foot blue black from the game 3-legged-walk as left foot of the colleague in front of me was off from the board, and we had to force to finish the game. Luckily we got no.1 in that game.
3rd one was tug-of-war. My team had no problem at all in winning this since the strongest few guys were in my team. End up, my arm still feel pain even after 2 days. :P
4th one was Futsal. A colleague of mine accidentally kicked another colleague's leg and cause her toe fractured. So fragile. She was crying out loud like a baby until 2 kids teased her crying so loud. That ends the good mood of all of us.
After the games, we went back to the room to clean up and pack then prepare to check out. After checking out, we finally had our nicest meal in that 4 days in the hotel.

Photobucket
Simple but nice lunch.

After the lunch 8 of us went to the spa. This is the 1st time I do the spa. So not used to it as we need to take off everything(wearing only 1 paper panty) and let the masseur massaged you, put the scrub and then the yogurt on you. I fall asleep for a while while waiting for the yogurt to be absorbed by my body. After that we had flower bath.

Photobucket
Beautiful left out flower petals in the bath tub.

We supposed to go to Kuta to meet up with other colleagues before went to airport, but the traffic jam was so bad, and all of us decided to go to airport earlier. I started to have fever when we reached airport. I bought the liquor and ciggies in the duty free shops in Bali because I wanted to finish my Rupiah before I came back to KL, although the ciggies here is about RM10 more expensive than KL's. Luckily the Air Asia flight didn't delay this time, and we reached LCCT actually 20 minutes earlier than the ETA.

After we went back only I realized that I actually didn't buy enough souvenirs for my colleagues. So sorry about that. :P
