New Favourite Japanese Restaurant

I love Japanese food. Used to go to Momo in Center Point Bandar Utama for their Japanese buffet. But due to their good publicity or advertisemnet, Momo's buffet dinner is always fully booked. Since it's not near from Puchong, so me and Edward switched to Sakae for the normal Sushi and ala carte recently.

Last month, a customer sent me a promotion leaflet via email about Agefuku Japanese restaurant in USJ Taipan. They claim themselves as the 1st Japanese fast food restaurant in Malaysia. Anyway, I'm more interested for their buffet since it's only RM46 per pax. I called in to check the availability, and reservation requested to dine for their buffet.

The ambiance is surprisingly nice and comfortable. Although the place is not that big. The food is good. The service is good as well. They have this cute waiter (I think should the the boss's son) who in charge of the fruit counter, is so polite and understanding. He was cutting the watermelon when I took my desert and fruit. Then when I sat on my place, I saw him putting the watermelon on the plates so nicely. After I finished my fruit, I went to him to ask him whether I can have the banana split but without the banana. "Sure. Do you want me to add the watermelon for you?" is the answer I got. He made the ice cream for me with chocolate chips, chocolate topping and the watermelon on the chocolate ice cream that I wanted. So nice of him.

Fish Cooking No.2.

Last Saturday, my 1st weekend of 5days job, I bought the Dory fish fillet and made grilled fish. The marinated the fillet with oyster sauce, soya sauce, sesame oil, and a little bit the chicken seasoning. It's much easier, and much tastier this time compared to the whole fish which I steamed the week before. When the fish almost cooked, I added a little bit of white wine on it. Trust me, it's yummy. Slurppp.......:p
I added the crab stick and corn as side dish/decoration. The grilled fish is not 'dark' enough because I tried to make it as "fresh" as possible. Maybe the presentation is not impressive, but my another half finished the whole plate within 5 minutes. :)

Grill Fish

Fish Cooking.

My mum caught me a fish from hometown. I don't know what it call in English, but Chinese call it 'sang yu'. This is not the 1st time I cook the fish, but this one, maybe it's too dark in color, and too slippery, made me feel so eerie when I washed it. I couldn't help but keep imagining what if the fish go alive again (or I should call reincarnation because it's dead. :p). I knew it's impossible, but the feeling of the slippery really made me felt that way.

I steamed the fish, but forgot to take the pic of it. It's not so nice to see anyway because I cut it half so that easier to be put inside the wok to steam. Or else it will be too long. The taste.....edible of course, but really so so only. I'm just not good in cooking the whole fish.
