4D3N in Bangkok

4D3N In Bangkok

Went for holilday in Bangkok for 4D3N 2 weeks ago, while the H1N1 is widely spread all over the world. It actually doesn’t seems that bad over there.

During our 1st day there, Thailand was having their Buddhist Lent Day festival. No beer can be sold for 2 days. We went to the Palace Temple, and walk along the street full of books, souvenirs and food stalls.

Books stalls. Very cheap and a lot of them. I’ve never seen such long book stalls/fair in Malaysia.

Palace Temple. We couldn’t enter due to the big festival.

The sweet ‘otak-otak’ looked alike desert. Tasty.

Sleeping Buddha. Very nearby Palace Temple. We just walked there from the Palace Temple.

Then we had our 1st dinner there at a big restaurant. They serve super nice Tom Yam and food.

The most yummy Tom Yam we had in 4 days.

Photobucket
Fried Yam Cake. Very tasty too.

Crab meat fried with Chili. Super nice. I love this the most among all the food I ate in bangkok. We can really eat the crab meat pcs by pcs. Not like most of the restaurants serve, which we can only taste a tiny-minny pcs of crab meat debris only.

Grill pork. (Moo-Yarng in Thai).

Thai Satay. We don’t really like it. Not as tasty as Malaysia’s satay.

After the dinner we went to Suan Lam night bazaar for shopping. Bought some staff there as souvenirs for myselves, family and friends.
Had our 1st foot massage there after long walk in front of the night bazaar. The massage was not that nice due to not hard enough.

The 2nd Day, we went to the Floating Market. It’s a great experience, though the goods sold there are expensive compared to the normal market.

After the Floating Market, we went to a Zoo to watch the magic, elephants and crocodile shows. The shows were better than expected. The ticket was not cheap. 500Baht per person.

The smart elephants. We played Football, made funny actions, and played in drama which talked about wars. I was shocked by the bomb they put, with real fire.

Photobucket
Crocodile show. I took videos for the shows. But lazy to upload it here. :p

After that, we went back to town to take dinner.

The fresh salted compressed-cook fish. The fish meat was so fresh and sweet. Behind the fish is ‘Labaduk’. It eat together with fresh vege. A unique dish. But at the end me and my gf ate the chili accidentally and felt hot till we couldn’t talk.

After dinner, we went back hotel room for shower. Then we head to a spa to do Thai massage. The environment there was so comfortable.

The 3rd day, we went to a shopping mall called MBK then Central. Didn’t get anything there, but had my 1st pork burger of McDonald’s. The burger was so yummy compared to ours in Malaysia.

In the evening, we went to Suan Lam night bazaar again. Bought a few more items, and had dinner, and our 1st beer at the food court beside the night bazaar.

During the last day, we just went to the same spa for the Thai massage again. This time, I asked the masseur to be harder. She actually step up on me. I told her not too hard, and she told me just a little bit only because her weight is only 40kg. The process was pain this time. But I could feel my spine immediately loosen after the last step when I put on hands behind my head and she twisted my body to left then to right.

After the massage, we headed to airport to fly back to KL.

I might be going to Bangkok again by end of the year if H1N1 is in control. Or else, probably next year. There are a lot of places where I didn’t have enough time to go.
