Wedding Dinners.

I went to 2 wedding dinners these 2 months. Both brides were wearing cheongsam in their wedding dinners.

Maybe it's a trend to wear cheongsam in the Chinese wedding dinner nowadays. It's much easier for the brides to walk around compared to wear the long and heavy gowns. But I just think that it's not outstanding enough. You can't really recognize that she's the bride if you never see her or watch her wedding video or photos on the screen in the restaurants. I still prefer the normal dinner gown better than cheongsam.

Perhaps it's to early to talk about my own wedding gowns. But I don't mind to have a little bit of plans for my own wedding attires. I hardly see brides take initiative to drink liquor with their guests in their wedding dinner. As a result, some of them were forced to drink, and got drunk. I think I should the the bride who will walk around my guests' tables to toss with my guests, Psychologically, I think that might scare a little bit off them. :p So, in order to do that, I think I'll choose a gown which is outstanding enough on me, but easy for me to walk around.

Talk about wedding gown, Reminds me of my ex's bf's sister's wedding in a Chinese restaurant few years back, with 2 different couples' dinner in it at the same time. I was wearing a simple long black gown, which my ex bought for me and wanted me to wear that night, and end up a lot of people thought that I was one of the bride instead of the other one who was having the dinner since I was sitting in front of the restaurant helping out as a reception. That was really embarrassed.......

Mid Autumn Festival Celebration.

I didn't celebrate Mid Autumn Festival of Chinese with all my siblings since I came out KL for study and then work. This year, all of us arrange to meet to celebrate this 'reunion' festival at hometown.

We arranged the candles in Chinese words "Moon", and "Mid Autumn". All of us including my mum helped to arrange and lit the candles at the same time. My brother in charge of photo shooting while we were busy arranging the candles.

After playing with candles, we sat down and had our moon cakes, fruit, tea, and chit chatting. Too bad my dad left to Dubai 2 days earlier. Or else we could have celebrated it together. We miss you daddy......

We really had a nice gathering this year. Hope we can make it every year like this.

National Day Eve Party.

There are a lot of farewell parties recently. My own colleagues, and Edward's colleagues as well.
In August itself, there are 3 of them.

Early August, we had a BBQ farewell party for J. Perhaps it's just an excuse for everyone to have BBQ since we all didn't have it for so long already. We basically finish 85% of the food, and finished all the liquor.

The 18 years Old Chivas Regal. We thought we couldn't finish it, but end up not enough for the night.

Another one we decided to make it for steamboat buffet at Sunway. Easier, and eat all you can. Simple enough, while can satisfy everyone's appetite. After that, everyone wanted to come to my house for drinking session. I bought beer and coke, Andy brought wine, J brought JD. Not everyone could drink much that night actually. So we didn't manage to finish the liquor this time. But we had really good and fun time. We played a little game to make everyone drink. We laughed so loud, and non stop, until everyone's jaws cramp and tears came out. After the game(actually the game stopped because 2 guys couldn't drink anymore), we had chit-chatting session. It's really been a while since I had such a good time with friends after the vacation with my girl friends 2 years ago I think.
We said goodbye at almost 5.30am. So end up...I slept till 2pm, and had a little hangover from the liquor. :P

Asian cup size downgraded again?

I went to shop for bras last weekend in Robinson, just to use the voucher that I got from the land banking briefing. The bra cup sizes of Asian downgraded again since it did once few years ago.

I was wearing B or C depends on the brand and cutting previously, and now, I need to go for D already for most of the famous brand like Wacoal and Triumph.

But why? Is it Asian girls' cup size are getting smaller from generation to generation? Sigh.........

Foot Reflexology

While waiting for another couple of friends for dinner, I went to the 60min foot reflexology in Puchong. There are so many foot reflexology opened in Bandar Puteri Puchong now.

The one I went yesterday was like a cinema. They provide large projector screen for the customers to watch some movies while doing the foot reflexology. The air cond was cold enough. If not because of the pain while the male foot masseur from China pressing my legs and feet, I think I could sleep soundly inside there.

The masseur told me that I have sleeping problem. My intestine is not that good, so as my waist. It's all based on the 'xue dao' (in mandarin) on my feet. It was so painful when they pressed on certain 'xue dao'. This was not the 1st time I did foot reflexology, but it was the most painful one. Phew!!

Land Banking

People nowadays is trying to diversify their investment. So here's the born of land banking(that's what the agent called). Basically land banking is just buying a land and wait for its price increment, and sell it off. Just like commodities, but land investment is longer term of investment.

I went to this briefing by this Singapore based company yesterday. The call and sms said that there is no obligation. Since I've never heard of it before this, so decided to went to have a look.

The land they are selling at the moment is in Titchfield, UK. The company bought one large piece of land and then divided into small parcels(each parcels=100 sq.m) and sell it to public. They are selling at about RM75K per parcel. The return based on their conservative calculation is 9% of profit (that's what they said). Even after the forex conversion, the land is not that expensive actually. Just that I don't have so much cash to invest yet. :P
To be frank, how many people dare to pay "cash" to buy a piece of land where it's so far away just like that?

As usual, the agent knew that she can't convince me anymore, so she just asked me to do some research, and get back to them if I change my mind after that.

They are kind enough to give me a bottle of Mark & Spencer's hand wash, and RM100 Robinson's shopping voucher.

New Favourite Japanese Restaurant

I love Japanese food. Used to go to Momo in Center Point Bandar Utama for their Japanese buffet. But due to their good publicity or advertisemnet, Momo's buffet dinner is always fully booked. Since it's not near from Puchong, so me and Edward switched to Sakae for the normal Sushi and ala carte recently.

Last month, a customer sent me a promotion leaflet via email about Agefuku Japanese restaurant in USJ Taipan. They claim themselves as the 1st Japanese fast food restaurant in Malaysia. Anyway, I'm more interested for their buffet since it's only RM46 per pax. I called in to check the availability, and reservation requested to dine for their buffet.

The ambiance is surprisingly nice and comfortable. Although the place is not that big. The food is good. The service is good as well. They have this cute waiter (I think should the the boss's son) who in charge of the fruit counter, is so polite and understanding. He was cutting the watermelon when I took my desert and fruit. Then when I sat on my place, I saw him putting the watermelon on the plates so nicely. After I finished my fruit, I went to him to ask him whether I can have the banana split but without the banana. "Sure. Do you want me to add the watermelon for you?" is the answer I got. He made the ice cream for me with chocolate chips, chocolate topping and the watermelon on the chocolate ice cream that I wanted. So nice of him.
